This project is a t-shirt designed by MOM for Galleria Dallas' annual Juneteenth Design.

Excerpt from Press Release:
“As a landscape artist, I was immediately drawn to the flag and how the design’s bisection resembles a singular hill and the sunburst shape evokes a sunset or sunrise,” MOM said.
“I chose to create an emblem utilizing those elements in addition to a winding road that travels up the hill reaching the sunburst. This imagery encapsulates the journey from struggle to triumph, mirroring the uphill climb toward freedom and equality.” The two little stars on the rim of the design are a nod to Texas, the place of origin for Juneteenth. MOM hopes that wearing the design “will imbue the wearer with a sense of pride, strength and connection to the rich tapestry of Black history.”
